Hida folk village is a Museum, exhibiting some 30 homes and farmhouse of Japan village landscape, picturesque, located on a hill overlooking the Valley of Takayama and surrounding a large pond

The village is a collection of houses, farming, the traditional architectural style of Japan from many different villages and surrounding areas. The village's main attractions are the houses "gassho-zukuri" traditional ramps like 2 hands are pieced together in prayer.
